The year 2018 has been the battle of the tech beasts . We got a chance to see some really amazing devices come out from some of the leading smartphone manufacturing giants. It has been the ultimate experience to see the competition of the most powerful phones on the planet.

Among so many amazing devices,it is difficult to pick a winner. But we have to.

6. Oppo FindX

At 6, we have the Oppo FindX and no surprise, it had to be in the list. It is the most unique phone in the world with the best screen to body ratio at 93.8% (the highest in any smartphone). All screen, glass body, elegant design, motorized camera, etc, are some of those features that put the FindX among the leaders.

The iPhone XS and the XS Max are the best iPhones available in the market right now. It is fast and efficient in many ways as compared to the previous iPhones. There are actually a lot of drawbacks in this phone than you may think there are but it had to get in because of the effort Google puts in it's phones.

And the best all rounder device here. Yes, it is the note 9. It literally doesn't have the best on paper but it does everything ( actually everything) very well. Bloatware is one of the only drawbacks of the device is which would affect the speed of the phone over time. Huge display, a pretty big battery, stylus, dual camera and much more make the Galaxy note 9 such a good phone to have.

Hands down! This is the best budget flagship phone in the market right now. Both the phones were launched this year with the former in Q1 and the latter in Q3. Both the phone differ only by a slight bit with a little extra of the "modernish" features in the 6t like the removal of the headphone jack and led notification light, in display fingerprint reader and a slightly better screen to body ratio.

This phone truly deserves the first place. It is the best phone in the history of Huawei and has been a major breakthrough of the company. Unlike other phones on the list, the mate 20 pro has a triple camera on the back with the primary one being an 8 MP telephoto lens, the secondary one being a 20 MP ultra wide angle shooter and the last one being a 40 MP wide angle lens. Software, big battery, large ram, in display fingerprint reader, multiple color choices, etc are those additional features that add to the mighty mate 20 pro and finally makes it the best smartphone of 2018.
